Mulch
Each year as the weather warms up in the spring, homeowners are busy trying to get yards ready and looking great. One thing that is often overlooked is mulching beds. Mulch loses an average of one half of material each year to decomposition and displacement from the beds. A proper depth of 3 inches should be maintained for weed control, to protect plant beds and maintain a vibrant color. Mulching and bed edging are a great way to refresh the look of your landscaping.
Mulch comes in a variety of options. Red cedar and Cypress create a more natural look. Red, black and brown hardwood mulch can be used to create a bolder look in your landscaped areas.
